The Murder of Melissa McLauchlin

25-year-old Melissa McLauchlin was violently gang raped and then murdered by several men who were active duty military or had recently been discharged. The case sparked controversy as some considered it a "hate crime". In total, six men and two women would be held accountable for McLauchlin's murder.
