Carla Ravanes Higham is a Communications Consultant. She was born and raised in Manila, Philippines, and graduated with a degree in International Marketing with a Minor in Public Relations from the American City University. She worked as a Publicist and Communications Specialist for multinational companies in Southeast Asia such as Coca-Cola, Nivea, Honda, and Starbucks to name a few. Carla has worn many hats during her career in the Philippines in the field of Communications and she also a Lifestyle Columnist for the Philippines’ longest running newspaper, The Manila Times. Carla shares how starting from the bottom gave her the confidence to take a risk and live life on her terms. She also shares tips that can help you in your own journey to self confidence. Maggie Chui is the co-founder of the Asian Hustle Network. She was born and raised in San Francisco and she currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. Maggie comes from a Finance background and work in tech. She started a Facebook group called Asian Hustle Network that offers a global platform for Asian entrepreneurs and hustlers to be able to share their businesses, uplift and support each other, and feel empowered to pursue their dreams. The group has gained over 9,000 members in over a month when it was launched. Maggie is also really into fitness and in the process of creating her own fitness apparel line at the moment, called Prism Fitwear, with the goal to become a better version of yourself physically, mentally and emotionally. Emily Piggford is a Canadian Screen Award-nominated actress currently based in Toronto. Her passion for performance began as a child with singing, dance, violin, piano and, when she was eleven, her first musical. Since then, Emily has earned a BFA in theatre from the University of Victoria, graduated from the Canadian Film Centre CBC Actors Conservatory, become an artistic associate of the movement- based theatre company, Impulse Theatre, toured internationally with the revolutionary Canadian Stage production, Helen Lawrence, and appeared in numerous on-screen roles. Recent credits include starring in the action-fantasy series Warigami (CBC/CW), recurring in The Umbrella Academy (Netflix) and The Girlfriend Experience (STARZ) and producing as well as starring in D.W. Waterson’s award-winning digital series, That’s My DJ. Up next, Emily plays Esther Ishikawa in the thrilling new Canadian-New Zealand miniseries, The Sounds (CBC), opposite Rachelle Lefevre directed by Peter Stebbings. Kim Fernandez is a professional model, writer, and Co-Founder of KimChi Communications. She started modelling professionally when she was 17 years old after joining Ford Supermodel of the World Philippines and finishing as a runner up in the competition. She was still in college when she started modelling so she had to juggle both of her studies and career. Pretty much almost 10 years of her life was dedicated to modelling. Kim has had a couple of corporate jobs, working for an ad agency and a community magazine. She has always loved writing and when she got the chance to have a career in writing, she grabbed that opportunity real quick. She is currently writing for a tech website and a retail learning channel, where she also works as its community manager. Recently, she started a company, KimChi Communications, which is a creative writing agency based here in the Philippines.
