Katelyn Hutchison On One Year With CITIUS MAG + Carrying On Her Father's Positivity And Energy For Track and Field

Katelyn Hutchison On One Year With CITIUS MAG + Carrying On Her Father's Positivity And Energy For Track and Field

"A lot of people talk about how they appreciate how supportive I am of them or how they don't understand how I can look at people and I have the utmost support and faith in you because I haven't done anything to deserve that. Well, if there's one thing my dad taught me is that you can't always look at the stats or how people appear to be on the surface. Sometimes you just know if people have it in them even though they haven't shown it yet or they don't know it yet. I'm comfortable and more than willing to show love to everybody because that's one thing that he taught me and I understood how important that was for me as someone who wants to be a professional in the future and wants to change the sport."

My guest for this episode is Katelyn Hutchison. You’ve heard her on our show as a recurring analyst and I never got the chance to do a full introduction with her as a guest on the show to share some of her backstory. So we decided that one year with CITIUS MAG would be a good time to look back on her year working alongside us.

Katelyn is a sprinter at the University of Kentucky. Before that, she ran at Ithaca and she’s a champion for all things Division III. Her enthusiasm for the sport is next level. She’s harnessed that on Twitter, where she’s got very loyal followers that live for the next Katelyn interview with an athlete or her reactions to major moments.

She is an alum of the Magic Boost Program, a mentorship program for aspiring track and field content creators across videography, photography, podcasting, writing, graphic design and other modern means of storytelling. She also just got accepted as one of seven World Athletics Content Creators.

The sky is the limit for Katelyn and I’m so proud of the work she’s done with us and will continue to do with CITIUS MAG.
