Mother's Day Meditation

Originally broadcast May 14, 2023 by Calgary Mindfulness. Mother's Day can be very joyful when we have many positive experiences of mothering in our lives, from both family and community, or it can be negative if we have had fraught relationships with our own mothers and a community that was not caretaking. Similarly as mothers sometimes we excel and sometimes we mess up. In this practice we explore both gratitude for the giving that has shaped us, and compassion and forgiveness for when we and others have missed the mark. Great to be outside in my backyard; so far no magpie and crow noise!
