Colin Mackay is the Author behind the hugely popular book, A History of Phuket and the Surrounding Region.

Colin is a Scotsman who was born in Kenya and grew up on the Tanzanian Coast. After gaining his Master’s degree in History at Edenborough University he left for Hong Kong to become a journalist. The City’s lifestyle leads him on a hunt for money where he then changed careers and became a financial broker, at the age of 28, Colin made his first million.

Colin shared with us his life journey from salvaging ships for gold, managing huge funds, becoming a property developer and writing his very own book.
