Supercars Special - Sandown 500 Recap (Feeney/De Silvestro/Dane/Morris/Quinn/McConville)

A special edition of The Podium, coming to you from Sandown International Raceway, to recap the 2023 Sandown 500.

On this edition, we are joined by Broc Feeney, Simona De Silvestro, Jessica Dane, Paul Morris, Ryder Quinn and Cameron McConville.

Triple Eight driver, Broc Feeney joins us on The Podium to celebrate his triumphant win in the 2023 Sandown 500. Broc talks us through his mature drive, and how he held of the fast charging Brodie Kostecki. Broc also reflects on some of the other memorable moments he's had at Sandown, and talks about the instrumental role that Paul Morris has played to get him to where he is now.

Porsche Factory driver, and Supercars Wildcard for Shell V-Power Racing, Simona De Silvestro discusses her return to the Supercars Championship for the upcoming Bathurst 1000 with DJR. Simona also talks about what it's like to race in front of over 350,000 fans at the Indy 500, her surprise visit from DJR co-driver, Kai Allen, while in Zurich, the rise of females in motorsport, and her upcoming move into Bobsled competition.

Triple Eight co-owner, Jessica Dane reflects on the 20th anniversary of her team entering the Supercars Championship, balancing her time between team ownership, study, and media.

Jessica also talks about her involvement with the Girls on Track initiative, the 2023 Supercars season, her trip to America to witness the first-ever NASCAR race around the streets of Chicago, and her plans for the future.

Australian motorsport icon, Paul Morris joins us on The Podium to talk about the career progression of his son, Nash Morris, who has been attracting plenty of attention, following his impressive performances in Trans AM, Porsche Sprint Challenge, and GT4 racing. Paul then gives us his thoughts on the state of Supercars following the rollout of Gen3 this season.
