What We're Not Talking About in Vet Med with Dr. Katarina Purich and Dr. Natasha Kutryk

While we may not want to admit it at all times, as a profession there are plenty of things we still don't talk about, including perceived and real discrimination in the workplace. To discuss this topic and how we can make things better as a profession, we're welcoming to the show Dr. Katarina Purich and Dr. Natasha Kutryk, two strong female voices speaking up for improvements in the profession.

Dr. Katarina Purich is a 2014 WCVM grad who’s been in mixed animal practice in rural Alberta for 8 years. A lifelong animal lover, she’s passionate about learning all the weird and wonderful facts of veterinary medicine. She’s an avid volunteer with local spay and neuter initiatives and internationally with the Equitarian Initiative.

Dr. Natasha Kutryk obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Since graduating, she has worked in mixed or large animal practices in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Canada, with her current role being a Veterinarian Consultant with Feedlot Health Management Services.
