#455: BONUS - Long Island Serial Killer Captured - And Jim called it!

Breaking news and RCP jumps on a Bonus Ep to weigh in. For over a decade Long Island Police have been trying to solve what appeared to be the serial murders of several young women whose remains were found at Gilgo Beach. Finally just this past week, Architect Rex Heuermann, 59, was arrested at his Manhattan office and arraigned in the deaths of three women: Melissa Barthelemy, 24; Megan Waterman, 22; and Amber Lynn Costello 27.

Police are still investigating the death of a fourth woman, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 25, as well as other victims who may also be connected to Heuermann. Back in 2011 Jim was asked to profile this case for a New York Times article, and you won't believe how closely he nailed the description of the actual suspect - Bright, Careful and Sadistic: Profiling Long Island’s Mystery Serial Killer https://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/22/nyregion/long-island-serial-killer-gets-a-personality-profile.html (https://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/22/nyregion/long-island-serial-killer-gets-a-personality-profile.html)

Join us as we get Jim's reaction to this arrest and Laura provides even greater context to this "successful family" man who lived under the radar for so long.
