Dying Your Way Interview With Gabrielle Elise Jimenez

When it comes to end of life issues, few are as controversial as allowing an individual to choose to end their own life legally. Gabrielle Elise Jimenez is an author, Hospice Nurse and End of Life Doula who has been at the bedside with many terminal patients who choose to end their life by their own hand and in their own time, now that it is legal in California. We discuss the many-stepped criteria, the practical steps, the circumstances surrounding patients that get them to this place, and the care for the families who support their decision. Dying Your Way is neither in favor or opposition, but instead we wish to educate ourselves and our audience to the realities of this growing, global, legal option for terminally ill patients.

Warning: This subject may be confronting for some. If you have any thoughts of self harm call 13-11-14 AU or 1-800- 273-TALK or your country’s equivalent suicide prevention hotline.
