This week, Drewby and Yergy head to Kettering, Ohio, to discuss the case of Erica Baker, a 9-year-old girl who had her whole life ahead of her. On February 7th 1999, Erica set off to Indian Riffle Park with her Shih Tzu, Jamie, after not being able to go to a father daughter dance that was occurring in the park's community center that evening. Hours passed, and day turned to night. Sadly, Erica never made it home that evening. This week, Drewby and Yergy discuss the case of Jaheem Harris, an adorable little boy from Iowa who was loved and adored by his father and grandmother. However, when his mother, Danielle, regained custody of Jaheem, things quickly went downhill. Jaheem and his younger brother were tortured and abused by their mother's new boyfriend, Walter Cordell Williams. Walter beat the boys with of all things, a bag of frozen pork ribs. Before Baby P, there was Victoria Climbie, a beautiful little girl from the Ivory Coast. Born on November 2nd, 1991 to parents Berthe and Francis Climbie, Victoria was described as a bright and lively child who excelled in school. In October of 1998, a distant relative named Marie-Therese Kouao paid a visit to the Climbie family, offering to take one of their children to Paris to received a better education. Berthe and Francis jumped at this opportunity for Victoria to have a better life than what they could provide at home... or so they thought. Soon, the pair traveled to France, and later England after authorities suspected Marie of abusing Victoria. Sadly, they were right.
