In this episode, the Vampire Insider team dig even deeper into Lestat's character from the book The Vampire Lestat as well as the show. In this episode, the Vampire Insider team got a bit silly discussing the wildly popular second book in the Vampire Chronicles series -- The Vampire Lestat. They chat a bit about the background of the book, an overview of the plot and then they dive in to some specific themes including how the vampires confront religion, what role does Lestat's loneliness play in his decision making, and Incest as a device (or just a bit of a kink) in gothic literature. The team also interrogates how the showrunners have already integrated this version of Lestat (a far more charming creature than the guy skulking around in the first book) into the series and how Sam Reid has tackled one of the most extra characters in literature with "excess within control". This episode is heavy on the laughs so be prepared for an onslaught of strange accents and Marc bursting into song; after all, there is no better episode to allow him to be all he can possibly be.
