Welcome to episode 212 of the Löw Tide Böyz - A Swimrun Podcast!

In this week’s episode we dive into our long bucket list of Swimrun events that we want to participate in and take you with us (figuratively) to the Gulf of Morbihan and present to you the award winning Swimrun Troll Enez. Co-race directors Laura, Renan, and Jocelyn join to tell us all about this amazing event.

Training Update

We’re STILL in the “building consistency” stage of training and STILL trying to be better at incorporating strength work earlier in the year. So far so good. There’s a decent amount of trail running in our future before Swimrun season kicks off for us so that will be fun.

Shoutout

This week’s shoutout goes to friend of the show, David Trehane. He’s the race director for the new Studland Swimrun in the U.K. and this race looks epic! The race is taking place on June 15th and it’s filling up fast so don’t wait and sign up.

Feats of Endurance

This week’s award goes to our friends The Kancho Boyz for finishing their 6-day bike ride in Thailand over the weekend. It was apparently crazy hot and humid but fun was still had by all.

Swimrun Troll Enez

It was super fun to chat with Laura, Renan, and Jocelyn about their labor of love, the Troll Enez Swimrun. As we mentioned at the start of the show, this race has been on our radar for a while and it’s only moved up our bucket list after this conversation. We chatted about the history of the race, got a course overview, and got their take on why Swimrun is taking off in France. Chris was literally dreaming about this race after recording the interview.
