Krigens Skjulte Våpen - The Hidden Weapon Of War

Krigens Skjulte Våpen - The Hidden Weapon Of War

I panelet: Jarle Aarbakke Tollaksen, nestleder i Krfu Kristoffer Gustavsen, andre nestleder i Unge Høgre Andrea Sjøvoll, leder i Sosialistisk Ungdom Thea Crawfurd Svensen, Changemaker Debatten foregikk på norsk -- THE HIDDEN WEAPON OF WAR Sexual assault is consciously used as a weapon in war, and the perpetrators usually walk free. To speak of these matters has become a taboo in many countries, but some are breaking the silence to tell their story. Here you can hear some of these brave people in a conversation at the Nobel Peace Center. In cooperation with Norwegian Church Aid, we invited to a conversation and debate. CONVERSATION Dr. Denis Mukwege, the doctor from Congo, who received a series of prizes for his work to help women and children raped in war. Ilwad Elman, the 26-year-old activist who moved back to Mogadishu from Canada, to continue his father’s work to help survivors of rape, after his father was killed. Mustafa Qasim, who works for Norwegian Church Aid and provides psychosocial and psychic healthcare to women, girls and children who were rescued from ISIS. Saja Michael, from Lebanon, who works with preventing and protecting women and girls, primarily refugees from Syria. DEBATE There was also a panel discussion with young politicians, where the theme is how soldiers can be held accountable, and what Norway can do to contribute. The discussion was held in Norwegian.
