Something Something about Cammie Wolf Rice

Cammie Wolf Rice is a mother, an advocate, an author and an agent for change. She has personal experience dealing with the dangers of opioid misuse through her own son’s battle from childhood through his passing at the age of 32. Cammie has transferred her pain into purpose. She has made it her mission to raise awareness about the opioid epidemic and alternative pain management strategies. Among her accomplishments is creating a new position in hospitals, Care Coach, to provide families in need struggling with these issues.

Her book, The Flight, chronicles her journey and will out in October 2022

In this powerful work, author Cammie Wolf Rice shares the story of losing her beloved son, Christopher Brett Wolf, to the opioid epidemic. Christopher lost his battle with substance misuse and dependence after 14 years. Like so many others, his battle with opioid dependence began with a single prescription. Christopher was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in middle school, which led to countless surgeries and 1000’s of prescription opioids. His mother, with him along every step of this fight, witnessed first hand how devastating this affliction can be. When she lost her son, she vowed to do everything in her power to ensure no other parent would suffer the same devastating loss..
