The new block called “Checkered Past,” will feature shows like Ed, Edd n Eddy, Dexter’s Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. It will replace some of the current Cartoon Network shows in Adult Swim’s schedule. The expansion comes after the success of Adult Swim’s previous one-hour extension of daily programming. The “Checkered Past” block will air Monday through Friday at 6 p.m., while Saturdays will consist of reruns of Adult Swim’s original shows, and Sundays will continue with the “Acme Night” block. The move aims to appeal to both current and nostalgic audiences, as these classic shows have a lasting fanbase. The new lineup is set to launch on August 28.
