Dating and Doing Business with an Age Gap with Christopher Taylor and Paulo Gonzales

Dating and Doing Business with an Age Gap with Christopher Taylor and Paulo Gonzales

Dating someone with a large age gap brings a unique set of challenges. Perhaps the biggest issue is navigating through the complex social norms and expectations that age differences create when dating.

When you add business dealings to the equation, it can be even more challenging. After all, age gaps don't just come with age-related differences in tastes and expectations, they also come with different approaches to working, differing levels of experience and knowledge, and contrasting levels of authority.

It's no wonder age gaps in dating have been proven to be harder to bridge if business is involved! And in this tea-worthy episode, we sat down with Paulo and Chris to discuss the complexities of it all.

  • How your differences make for space for curiosity and learning about each other
  • What do you think of age gaps in general? Was your belief always like that or did something change along the way?
  • The greatest challenges about "switching hats" - when to behave like a business partner, and when to behave like a lover
  • General beliefs about working with your partner/ lover
  • The BIG ADVICE - what to really think about and sort out before starting a business with your life partner
  • How do people change their values along the way?
  • Bonus question: how did you navigate with the cultural differences too? (Chris is from USA and Paulo is from the Philippines)

Hope you loved this episode, and learned a lot about doing life your business partner, or doing business with your life partner. Whichever way it goes, stay true to your values and goals!
