Eli Lilly’s Alzheimer’s treatment donanemab proved to significantly slow progression of the disease in its latest clinical trial. Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks discusses the company’s Alzheimer’s research, treatment, and plans to apply for FDA approval as soon as this quarter. The Federal Reserve is expected to increase its benchmark interest rate Wednesday afternoon, as policy-making officials wrap up a two-day meeting. But there are plenty of strong indications the Fed may pause hikes here, especially as the economy processes a banking crisis that has already brought down three large U.S. financial institutions.
