Episode 05 - Confidence

It's already episode 5 and this time around the theme is confidence as every single performer here presents their song with complete confidence. A lot of them are achingly cool too but not all of them (!) so we just stuck with confidence in the end. Obvious highlights include the catchy 1985 winner, the seminal Calm After the Storm that charted all over the world, and the last UK song to place second in the contest before Sam Ryder restored us to glory this year. We also have the nicest Swede you could possibly meet, Frans Jeppsson Wall, who represented his country in 2016, while the Randomiser is a messy bitch choosing Irish crooner Dickie Rock which leads Andy to share a terrifying anecdote about Dickie's female fans back in the day. Most importantly though, the Deuce Award once again seeks to right a wrong by celebrating the fantastic performance of Michelle Gayle who absolutely should have represented the UK in 2008 with Woo (U Make Me).
