Ep. 555 Hayo Loacker | Monty Waldin

Ep. 555 Hayo Loacker | Monty Waldin

Episode 555 Monty Waldin catches up with Hayo Loacker who speaks about his family, the Loacker wineries and their love of all things Biodynamic and Homeopathic! The Loacker family has been running its own wineries since 1978, strictly following the principles of biodynamics and homeopathy. This means that in the vineyards of Loacker estates the use of chemistry was completely eliminated by using biodynamic and homeopathic products in the treatment of the vines. Arnica, for example, serves to remedy the damage caused by hail to vines and grapes; the Aconitum is used against sudden infections, while Silicea helps to strengthen the structure of the leaves and shoots. The purpose is to obtain the maximum possible balance of the vine. Now the wines made according to natural criteria, unlike in the past, are a guarantee of high quality. The Loacker family still owns three wineries in three different Italian wine regions (Alto Adige, Montalcino, Maremma) with a total area of 45 hectares of vineyards. The wines produced embrace a wide range so as to be able to conquer all the palates of wine lovers.
