With over 170 years of history, the Ippolito winery represents the oldest winery in existence in Calabria. Located in the historic center of Cirò Marina, the heart of Calabrian viticulture, the company includes an agricultural estate of over 100 hectares, distributed between rolling hills and sunny plains close to the Ionian Sea, located in the classic area of Cirò. The company mission has always been the recovery and enhancement of native vines such as Gaglioppo, Greco Bianco, Calabrese, Pecorello and finally Greco Nero. Marc and his photographer wife Kim are the authors of 14 books including a pioneering series of illustrated wine-food-travel books: The Wine Roads of Europe, The Wine Roads of France, The Wine Roads of Italy (Premio Barbi Colombini), and The Wine Roads of Spain.
