Claudio, born in Queens, New York is a first generation Italian American, who would spend his summers in Sicily with his grandparents harvesting the grapes that they planted nearly 50 years ago on Monte Inici, located in Castellammare del Golfo. His grandparents predominately sold the grapes until 2016, when Claudio decided to be the first of his family to produce wine. His first vintage, Abisso, was produced in 2017, which is a 100% Catarratto varietal. Abisso launched the start of Iniceri Wines and received a silver medal at the World Wine and Spirits competition in 2018. Claudio is also a chef/owner of two restaurants in New York, and continues to spend his summers in Sicily with his family where he continues to produce wine.
