Today, he will be interviewing Giulia Pussini - International Communications & Event Manager Consortium Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG More about today’s guest Giulia Pussini started to work at the Consortium Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG in 2009, a crucial moment for the appellation. In 2009 the historic production area for Prosecco, Conegliano Valdobbiadene, obtained the recognition of DOCG, the highest quality level in Italian wine classification system. Initially more involved in the marketing activities of the Consortium, her role in the Consortium shifted towards the management of the international promotion of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, managing promotional activities and events all over the world, from Europe to North America and Asia. Graduated in Communication at the University of Padua, during the university she had the opportunity of spending our year of studies in Burgundy, working for the harvest in Côte d’Or in a family run winery. It was during this year in France that her passion for the wine industry was born, bringing her to go more in depth with the discovery of this fascinating world. After the university she achieved a Master’s Degree in Technique and Communication of Sparkling Wines at the University of Padua and obtained the certification of Sommelier from the AIS (Italian Association of Sommelier). She lives in Conegliano and travels 1 month a year for the Consorzio.
