Detox Hacks, Histamine Intolerance, Genes and Toxic Substances in the Environment | Dr. Ben Lynch

Everyone should know key ways to detox because of how many chemicals we're exposed to on a daily basis - it’s more than we can handle and it’s not how we evolved... (to people thinking this is a neurotic way of looking at it - it’s not, everyone is exposed to fragrances, cleaning products, topical products that are known to be endocrine disruptors, PFAS, etc. let alone more dramatic situations like mold, heavy metals, bacterial overgrowths. It’s tricky being a healthy human in our world. We have natural ways of detoxing but sometimes we can use some help. I’ve been wanting to talk 1-on-1 with Dr. Ben Lynch for a long time now (slightly selfishly) to get his professional thoughts on my health situation which I now believe stems from toxic mold. We discussed topics like detoxification hacks, what detox looks like (it shouldn’t make you feel worse), histamine intolerance, castor oil packs, how genes play a role in bodily reactions to supplements, how to test genes, and more.

Dr. Ben Lynch is the best-selling author of Dirty Genes and President of Seeking Health, a company that helps educate both the public and health professionals on how to overcome genetic dysfunction. He received his doctorate in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University and his BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington. He lives in Seattle, WA with his wife and three sons.
