#100 Find Compassion for Your Flawed Habits (:micro)

#100 Find Compassion for Your Flawed Habits (:micro)

For our hundredth episode I asked myself, "What does the MUD\WTR fam need most right now?" We're creative, curious and care about our well-being, as well as the world around us. But even with all our mindfulness, we still make mistakes and have vices we haven't been able to shake. We break our hearts trying to force ourselves to change before we have the time, energy or skillset to make different choices. For this special episode, I want to show you how to be more compassionate so you can stop the self-flagellation and remove any obstacles to being your best self.

What are your life-draining habits?

What are you not ready to change?

What obstacles can you remove to create a state of readiness for change?

#75 Sex and Psychedelics (:micro)

#75 Sex and Psychedelics (:micro)

Sex and drugs are two of the most powerful tools we can use to alter our consciousness. Separately, they hold the power of transformation and healing. Because of this, they're hotly-debated, steeped in stigmas and assumptions, and heavily regulated. So if sex and psychedelics can shake up the status quo on their own, what happens when we combine them? How can we do so with intention? Exercise: What's your ideal set and setting? If you're exploring sex and psychedelics with a partner, do you and the other person have compatible intentions? Have you explicitly communicated what your intentions are? Need help? #74 Scott Norton on The Power of Analogies, Lessons Learned from Steve Jobs, and Why to Start with "Why"

Scott Norton (@swhnorton) is a venture capitalist and MUD\WTR board member. He previously co-founded Sir Kensington's—the brand that's best known for making condiments with character. At Sir Kensington's, he raised over $20 million from investors, guiding the company to a successful acquisition by Unilever in 2017. Scott has been named one of Fast Company's "Most Creative People in Business" and listed on Forbes' "30 Under 30." About a year ago, I gave Scott one of his first surfing lessons at Venice Beach. On the wave he maintained a low, crouched position and kept his eyes straight ahead … just like I told him. Nice job, Scott! If you dig this podcast please leave a short review on Apple Podcasts. #73 How to Start (and Stick With) Good Writing Habits (:micro)

#73 How to Start (and Stick With) Good Writing Habits (:micro)

There's something about putting pen to paper that helps us separate the wheat from the chaff. Journaling helps us track what is working in our lives and what needs to change, bringing both our fears and dreams into the light of awareness. Know all this, but you're still not doing it? Here are some tips to get you started with a consistent journaling habit. Try this journaling exercise: Designate a specific time each day to sit down and write. Set a timer for, say, three minutes. When the timer goes off, stop writing! Make sure to have your writing prompts ready. The trick is to "James Clear" it: Make the journaling task obvious, attractive, easy and satisfying. #71 What Are Hot Ways to Ask for Consent? (:micro)

Imagine if you were able to get exactly what you wanted sexually because you knew how to communicate it clearly.  Imagine giving someone mind blowing pleasure because you could hear and respond like a sexual black belt. Would you like to know more? (See how I just checked for consent?) Listen in and learn how. If you dig this podcast please leave a short review on Apple Podcasts. #70 William Padilla-Brown On Growing Mushrooms, Meditation, & Unplugging from the Zombie Matrix (:macro)

William Padilla-Brown (@mycosymbite) is a citizen mycologist and author of the Cordyceps Cultivation Handbook. He's also one of the most verbally fluid, big thinking, paradigm-rocking mother truckers I've ever met in all of my nine lives! Will swung by MUD\WTR to teach a mushroom cultivating workshop and we featured his new film, The Fungal Fortunes of William Padilla-Brown. #69 Shane Heath On How To Hire, Journaling Techniques, & Microdosing Ayahuasca (:macro)

Shane Heath (@somanypossibilities) is MUD\WTR's founder & CEO. He's also my boss. So, I'd like to take a moment to talk about his biceps. They're like pythons, or wet rope. And lately he's been looking extra youthful, like a baby. A super-jacked baby with vision. I think it's because of his new hyperbaric chamber, which we discuss in this episode. It almost killed him because he didn't read the directions before climbing inside. We talk about that too. Please tell Shane how much you loved this episode so I can keep my job.—Kyle If you dig this podcast please leave a short review on Apple Podcasts. It takes less than 60 seconds and helps a bunch.
