Ep. 49 - Shane Thrapp - Men's ADHD Support Group -

Shane is a Certified Life Coach with a specialization in ADHD and Relationships. He knew all of his life that something was different about him. He struggled to fit into the social circles around him, and he always had a hard time living up to the expectations of those around him.

As a manager, he found strength in bringing up those who worked for him. He dedicated himself to lifting people up and not just giving out orders. As a leader, he developed skills based on servant-based leadership, giving people the skills and resources that they needed to thrive, not just in the position that they were in but in their lives.

This turned into a successful freelance project manager career that he continued through to 2016.

In 2016, he had to retire from the corporate work environment after a long struggle with mental health issues and a nervous breakdown. This was when he was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia, ADHD, and Autism. Since then, he has dedicated his life to learning and understanding everything that there was to know about ADHD and neurodiversity and sharing that knowledge with the world.

As an ADHD Life Coach for Creating Order From Chaos Consulting, he uses his previous leadership skills to help his clients understand their ADHD and find the tools and skills to manage it throughout their lives. He has helped hundreds of clients make their way through the chaos of their ADHD and find order on the other side.

As an informative, motivational speaker, he now works with corporations, nonprofits, schools, and parents on ADHD. He works to help them learn how to develop the environments that youth and adults need to have in order to thrive while managing their ADHD. By working with these groups, he hopes to help end the stigma around ADHD and build up an awareness of not only the struggles that people with ADHD face but the resilience and strength that comes from these struggles and the gifts that having a mind that works differently can bring to a neurotypical world.
