Episode 139: Cool for the Summer Marketing

Episode 139: Cool for the Summer Marketing

This episode was recorded on the LAST day of school for my four kiddos. The next week we started our first summer with no formal childcare since I started my business. I love my flexible hours, but honestly, I have flexed them a little too broadly in the past. I'm determined to really be present with my family and soak up this magical summer. That calls for some careful strategy to make sure my business continues to flourish without me. I'm sharing my plan in this week's podcast. Key Takeaways
  • Resources: This episode is best via video, linked here. Follow along in your printable workbook, and access the presentation here.
  • I'm booking eight sessions only with business owners looking to strategically plan and market their business in a short amount of time. Your Power Hour package includes a personal audit of your current strategies, three months of content mapped out, and 10 days of Voxer access. Book yours here.
  • I love having my own business except, well, the business side of things. Payroll, taxes, and billing stresses me out. Gusto takes care of all of that for me. It saves for taxes, automatically files, and reports on my behalf. Get a $100 gift card when you sign up with my link.
  • Clarity: Set a timer and sit with a stack of sticky notes. What do you most want to accomplish this summer?
  • Cataloging: Ask yourself what you already have that is doing well. How can you make things last a little longer?
  • Reduce, reuse, and recycle your content. You don't have to constantly create.
  • Check your insights to see what content has done well, when, and why.
  • Create: Amp up your energy and bring your best self to social. Choose a format that fits your goals, and batch content for efficiency.
  • Convert: Why do you use social media in your business? What goals are you accomplishing with it? Make sure your content has a clear call to action.
  • Be sure that your social media strategy is serving your goals. Your time this summer is precious, so don't waste it on things that aren't converting.
  • Be a real person on social media. People can tell when you are just checking a box.
