On our first episode of the Affirm & Amplify Podcast, we speak with Kola Shippentower, an advocate for the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR) epidemic, an issue currently affecting tribal communities and indigenous people. During our chat we discuss MMIRW, the importance of representation, being an indigenous person in jiu jitsu and the power of "just a rashguard".
