Timo Meier had a productive day against the New York Islanders. He recorded a Gordie Howe Hat Trick and stood up for Nico Hischier after Anders Lee kneed him in the second period. Kaapo Kahkonen picked up right where Jake Allen left off and had a strong performance in net. The Devils are now five points out of a playoff position.
