We can only assume that “genius” doesn’t mean what Pep Guardiola thinks it does, after Man City heartlessly battered Big Sam’s struggling West Brom. Marcus, Vish and Jim are here to pick up the pieces after that demolition on today’s episode of the Ramble!

Elsewhere, there is due praise reserved for West Ham manager and hovercraft captain David Moyes, as they move up to fourth on the back of yet more unsung brilliance. We also check in on two of the game’s defending stalwarts - as a Russian activist tried to disguise himself as Daniel Agger and Welsh legend Ashley Williams hangs up his boots - before picking through Newcastle’s latest underwhelming performance.
