We are going to try to avoid covid and vaccine discussions for the next few episodes. Our first story, is about a man in Alabama who ended up dead after being unable to receive hospital care for his heart condition due to the hospitals being full with covid patients. Apparently, nurses tried to contact 43 different hospitals and none in the area were able to assist. Unfortunately, this is an ongoing trend in many areas as hospitals are filling up with covid patients (most of which are unvaccinated). Nicki Minaj is still in the headlines for the uproar that her comment made, about a friend of a friend who allegedly got the covid vaccine and had his balls swell and became impotent. There was no substantial evidence to support her claim, and in addition no other known cases of this happening with people who were vaccinated. The tragic story of Gabby Petito swept the nation, but the sheer media frenzy this case caused forced many to question why this story and not thousands of others hit the nation. One news reporter quoted that is was a perfect example of "missing white woman syndrome". And despite the story being tragic, it does highlight an issue with what stories tend to gather media storms. Lastly, we leave you with a little story about Nikita Dragun, who was under fire for "outting" several people in her music video, showing alleged DMs. As always we hope you enjoyed the episode.
