Pierre speaks about the particular and deep ways that Indigenous people are impacted by gentrification and the housing crisis in the city. In looking at the rising cost of rental units and the ways that low income people struggling with precarious realities are being kicked out of the city, Pierre gives a particular focus as to the ways that this crisis is disproportionately impacting Indigenous people, within the context of the pandemic and beyond.
