Cody, a double above-knee amputee, was born with a rare birth defect called Sacral Agenesis. This condition caused his legs to form without tibias or knees. He was asked to be a Spokesperson for the Challenged Athletes Foundation, or CAF. With this role, he attends athletic events, fundraisers and clinics to support other physically challenged athletes. He competes in various athletic events around the USA and Canada, with his ultimate goal of competing in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics for swimming.
