Kate's Recipe for Perseverance

Kate's Recipe for Perseverance

Happy Monday everyone! This episode we are proud to introduce Kate Alter, our guest, and of course our host Nessa Samim. Kate and Nessa will discuss stigmas associated with mental health, social media, and Kate's personal challenges with a physical illness. This week we are trying to normalize talking about one's mental health, don't feel ashamed if you're struggling with your mental health because as spoken in today's episode: "you're not alone". Kate also tells us a very personal story of her battle with scoliosis and how this physical barrier has impacted her life, her mental health, and her resilience. Please take away from this episode that you are never alone, reach out for support. Below we have outlets for anyone who is struggling. Thank you for tuning in!
