Start Your Transformation Now Lao Tzu said, “Mighty is he who has power over others and mightier still is he who has power over himself.” I’m not sure if you have recognized this or not but all your unhappiness comes from your self-mismanagement. Yep, all your unhappiness comes from mis-managing yourself and specifically, mis-managing your thoughts and emotions. What I find in life is that as long as things are going well we tend to be happy and the more challenging life becomes, the unhappier we become. What I talk about in this episode is things to come in the world and managing ourselves and how to do that. As I have been told by a shaman, the world is going to become more chaotic over the next several years. More fear, more worry, unstable economies, climate change, political instabilities and all the other challenges going on in our chaotic world. We have to understand that when our emotions and feelings become unstable because of the external world, that just creates more instability in your world – both internally and externally. Do we let these instabilities drain us or do we get stronger? Do we live in fear and worry or do we live in peace of mind? The key to the life you want is balance but it’s not the kind of balance you’re used to thinking about, it’s balancing the higher part of yourself with the lower part of yourself. I weave a lot into this episode but the overall gist is this. Start Your Transformation Now You’ve heard the old phrase before, “If nothing changes then nothing changes.” But, things don’t change, we change (or not), and if we don’t change then nothing in our world changes. My observation from doing my work over decades is that people will give lip service to change and they will dream and plan and fantasize about it but few actually pay the price and do the work to create it! To change your circumstances…your money, relationships, health, and anything in your life you must change. When you change then these “things” also change because they respond to who you are and what you do. Life responds and mirrors you and your changes. And, as we all know, we must change but we don’t. Have you ever asked yourself why? There are several reasons but two, in particular, are both brain-based. One is Predictability and the other is Identity Confirmation. There is a part of your brain that operates from a predictability/certainty principle and a part of your brain that wants “Identity Confirmation.” These two brain-based functions keep you trapped in the behavior of not changing, which is totally against what you often think you want. You know that if nothing changes then nothing changes but you still don’t take change action. It’s not your fault, it’s your brain. The only way to create change is to actually use your mind to drive your brain. The only way to create change is to take action on your desired change. In this episode, I talk more about it all and some simple practical steps to start creating change in your life. Ep 225: The Human Racket Is An Illusion That’s Keeping You Trapped!

Start Your Transformation Now So, your first two thoughts are probably one, what is the human racket and secondly, how does that racket keep me trapped? (And, keep you struggling for money and prosperity?)  A racket is defined as “a fraudulent scheme, enterprise, or activity.”  And, we all are taught the “Human Racket” as soon as we pop out of the womb. We’re taught the rules of life and what life is and is not and what is possible and what is not based upon being from and living within the racket.  You read that right. We learn the rules of the racket by living in the racket which means we are trapped in the racket. And, the truth is, we don’t even know we are in the racket because everyone else around us is in it too…our parents, and schools, and teachers, and family, and socialization keep us trapped in the racket.  The racket is poison or death to our higher natures, selves and beings. The racket robs us of our power as cosmic beings, and let me tell you this, cosmic beings don’t play human rackets.  Have you ever considered this thought, “What did you give up to come to this planet?“ Most people think they are giving up their life when they leave the planet and the truth is that they are regaining their full power as a cosmic being.  It does not matter if you are “spiritual” or not. You are both physical consciousness and non-physical mind. And, all if this is covered by the laws and properties of physics.  The bigger point of this episode is that your higher self has abilities that dwarf the abilities of your physical being, and one of those is manifestation. You have the power and ability to manifest just about anything you want and in any amount, and…to make that happen, if you have to quit playing the human racket.  The human racket works from finite resources, limitations, boundaries and concrete linear thinking based upon your physical senses.  The higher function of “you” works from no such limitations, and you cannot work from your highest self while living from the lower function of your being. Transformational Takeaway: Any time I think or hear limiting thoughts, my first thought is, “That’s in the racket, and the racket is an illusion, it’s not mine and does not pertain to me. Ep 224: Tame Your Brain And Go Beyond Your Limits

Start Your Transformation Now In truth, you have no limits. You may have certain physical limitations but I’ve seen people with what are perceived to be huge limitations do unbelievable things.  In this episode, I talk about how the concept of “go beyond your limits” was introduced to me. We are often told we have limits but how often do you think, “OK, I might have current limitations, and let me go beyond those?  In shamanism, there is a quote that I love and it’s “When the warrior stops talking even the craziest of tasks becomes possible.”  You may initially think that this episode is about self-talk but it’s really not, it’s about quieting and taming your mind that drives your self-talk.  The reality is that the only reason you cannot go beyond your perceived limits is because you think you cannot and in that moment is when your brain-based programming, subconscious programming, and mental chatter are stopping you.  We must stop the mental chatter, the “monkey brain.” But how?  You’ll never stop your brain and fully quiet your mind, however, you can tame them both and that gives you a better opportunity to silence them as much as possible.  In this episode, I explore seven ways that I have used and learned over the years and I have practiced many of them for decades. I give you a lot of choice and variety as different things will work for different people. We all process information differently and have different abilities, likes and preferences.  You’ll obviously know of at least three to five of them and then a few you may not have heard about or thought of. So, listen and then experiment with what works for you.  As I said above, the key to going beyond your limits is taming your mind and brain and honestly there is no better time than now and you’ll find the applications endless: Better health, wellness, focus, peace of mind, joy and maybe even doing things you have never done before.  Transformational Takeaway: To quiet the mind you first have to tame the mind! Start Your Transformation Now We all understand the concept of organization and things that we think we need to do in the world: Organize the office, clean the garage, organize the pantry, organize the files and the list goes on and on, right?  However, how many of us think about the concept of organizing ourselves, and what do I mean by “organizing yourself?”  I mean this in a spiritual way, and have you ever thought about that? What does it mean to “organize yourself spiritually?”  Working with a shaman for decades I used to think he did things to assist me and one day I realized that he led me to organize myself internally because when I do that things start to work fluidly in life.  What this means is to align yourself with your higher mind, function, and purpose and if you cannot organize your thinking and behavior around that you cannot align yourself with higher mind, spirit, Divine force, the quantum field, etc.  The definition of organization is: Arrange into a structured whole; order. Now ask yourself, is your life spiritually organized? And, specifically in regard to your life/spiritual prioritizations? An important point to recognize is that organization takes prioritization and do you have your spiritual thoughts and behaviors organized in a hierarchy of values? What’s at the top of your value ladder? Spiritual evolution or 3D human things? Are you a “Spiritual Weekend Warrior” and prioritizing when it is convenient for you? Transformational Takeaway: When you organize your thoughts, behaviors, and actions with the higher callings of your soul/spirit, that will be priceless for you. I talk about “Doing the work” in life and tie that into “What Makes Me Matter.”  When we come to what makes us matter, we metaphorically set ourselves on fire, and life becomes amazing.  Most of us fall short when it comes to doing the work and things that need to be done in life because nothing has set us on fire to do what is necessary to create the outcomes we desire.  When I had my stroke after heart failure, it was a lot of “work” healing and getting back to great health, and I do mean a lot of work! But, I did all the work necessary because I know that I matter in life. What I do professionally matters, I matter, my life matters – I am a person who matters. Read on, I’ll explain.  One of the obstacles to doing the work in life is that we hit resistance and we stop and this is exactly when we should push through and persevere.  Resistance keeps us from everything we want in life!  Resistance comes in the form of fears, overly analytical rationalizations and the environment we live in.  And, until we cut through all this head garbage we’re not going to bust through resistance, and when we don’t do that, we almost never do the great things in our life that bring us the greatest joy.  This episode is all about what matter you matter in life and a simple way to discover that. Start Your Transformation Now Have you ever wondered how truly powerful your mind is?  We all hear different stories about the “Power of the Mind” but have you experienced that in your own life?  Personally, I used my “mind” to heal from a stroke and heart failure, all of which happened in a single year, 2020. And, as I was healing I was searching Youtube for inspirational videos and stories.  I had never even taken so much as a prescription until my ordeals and I was wondering and searching for, “How do I heal myself beyond what modern medicine says I can do?  I came across a video by a man named Bob Cafaro and it was titled, “The Psychology Of Beating An Incurable Disease.” The title sucked me in immediately and the video did not disappoint. As a far of matter, it was the single most impactful video that I watched.  Bob healed himself from an incurable disease, Multiple Sclerosis. You read that right. He headed himself 100% using the power of his mind.  I’m ecstatic because I’m visiting with Bob in this episode and he shares the specific activities that healed him. Before I talked to him, I was blown away because as we were talking, he shared how he “did the impossible,” literally.  So, how does the interview apply to you and help you live a better life? Easy, if you’re in any way physically ill listening to this podcast episode can do one of the most important things you ever do and if you’ve never been in such circumstances, Bob demonstrates the power of doing the impossible. Start Your Transformation Now When people read the episode title many think, “Well, that is an odd thought, what does it mean?”  Specifically, you are an energetic being. You are a spiritual and cosmic being, and according to physics, and scientifically, you are akin to a cocoon of energy.  All this said, being a cocoon of energy, do you “leak” your energy? What that means is that you only have so much energy, like a battery and if you leak your energy you weaken yourself. How do you weaken yourself and leak energy? Easy, by letting your emotions and specifically fear control you. When you “get into” your fears and negative emotions that is akin to putting a nail into a tire and creating a small leak.  It’s vital that we examine our lives and observe our behaviors. How often and to what degree do you let your negative emotions and fear control you? That whatever that degree is the exact degree to which you weaken yourself.  In this episode I share the seven primary ways which you leak your energy. I briefly talk about what other spiritual paths call these ways and I share all this from the perspective of shamanism which pervades and is older than all other ways.  As you hear me share these seven ways what is vital is that you do not judge yourself and feel bad about yourself. What is important is to become aware of how you squander your energy and then start releasing your old ways and improving your behavior.  The unfortunate thing about depleting your energy is that it takes your power away to heal yourself and to manifest, and that is the point of this entire episode, to make you more powerful.  We all want to manifest and stay healthy, and the more we abuse and leak our very own energy, the less ability we have for self healing and manifestation, and then we’re in trouble. Ep 219: Making Cappuccino - And How Come It Is So Hard To Change?

Start Your Transformation Now If you have tried to run from your life, then this episode is for you. And truth be told, most people in life are “runners” in that they try to run from jobs, circumstances, relationships and people. In 1990 I was waiting tables, and I hated my job. I mention cappuccino in the headline and this episode because in this job, I had to make a lot of cappuccino. And one day, when making cappuccino, I said, “I hate this. I’m going to change my life. I’m going to move across the country.” Being a mere 25 years old, what I didn’t realize is that no matter where I moved, I would take myself with me. My point is I was running, and as you’re reading this, you may think, “No Jim, that does not apply to me because…..” Truth be told it most likely does apply to you because… If you’re wanting to leave a job because you hate it, you’re running from it. You are the one who created it and if you leave it you’ll just take yourself with you. If you’re wanting to leave a relationship because it does not work for you anymore is it because you two are no longer compatible which could be real or is it because you’re tired of all the relationship challenges, which you had a hand in creating? If you’re wanting to create more money in your life are you running from the changes you have to make in yourself to make it happen? If so, this is why you keep repeating your old patterns over and over again. You want change but you’re not willing to change enough to create the outcomes you want. Whether we want to believe it or not, this applies to most of us. We have created what we have in life because of who we are in the moment but we try to change things without changing ourselves and if we do that, metaphorically speaking, we’re going to be making cappuccino over and over again until you create changes in your life. What’s vital and I talk about in in this episode is that we make the necessary changes and we actually follow through with me. In this episode I talk about three ways your brain holds you back from change and what to do instead so you stop finding yourself like me, “making cappuccino,” and living your same life over and over.
