Carmella and I were former coworkers at the ABC Affiliate WNEP News Station. Today, Miss Carmella and I are talking on The Ryan Leckey Show Couch to dish on everything from landing your dream job to the dreaded question: OK, So now what?!?! The show kicks off with this Dunmore Native explaining her early career days in both Watertown and Binghamton, New York to eventually landing her “Dream Job” at WNEP. Carmella walks us through her journey from Intern - to free lance reporter - to ultimately landing THE BIG GIG as a WNEP anchor and reporter. Carmella’s big energy and big personality quickly made her a “Jane of all Trades” within her career, but she soon realized her passion for being productive was taking its toll. Carmella explains that “A-Ha Moment” when she realized her career goals were shifting and her ultimate decision to leave the career she had grown up believing was her destiny. We learn about Carmella’s new life within the Communications Department of Lehigh Valley Health Network. She emphasizes her passion for community and her team of coworkers - many of whom she worked with as a reporter during the Covid Pandemic. She explains the importance her mental health has played in making her most recent life’s decisions and how she is thriving at her new career and especially within her personal life.
