HEY FAM! Welcome to a special edition of our podcast: We ARE celebrating! It’s the one-year anniversary of my very own company called Ryan Leckey Media. But on this week’s episode of the Ryan Leckey Show, it’s role reversal time! My good friend and outstanding co-worker, Erich Granahan, takes on the very daunting challenge of interviewing the one and only… ME! That’s right, peeps, I’m in the hot seat this time! So put on your headphones and sit back for a fun episode!Erich and I sat down to chat about the company I created right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Ryan Leckey Media. The decision to leave my job as morning reporter at WNEP-TV was not an easy one for me; and leaving 16 wasn’t easy for Erich either! He left his job as a photographer at the TV station to join Ryan Leckey Media! We both have a very deep love for WNEP and everyone inside of it. But for me, after Covid hit, I realized that times were changing, and so was my career. My passion and love for media was still there, but that passion evolved as media itself was evolving. No longer was it just broadcasting on television, media was now so much more: websites, commercial ads, and, even bigger, social media. Just like so many others, Covid got me thinking that it was time for a change in my life… and that change was a pretty big one!It was one year ago, when I took a giant leap of faith, and started my own company. I was basically on my own. I started with only a handful of clients and one part-time worker who helped me keep my start-up organized. On this week’s podcast, Erich and I chitter-chatter about the difficulties I faced during the early months of my business. It definitely wasn’t easy to get where I am today- four full-time employees, including the talented Erich Granahan, several part-time employees, some top-notch equipment and, thankfully, a ton of amazing clients! I could never have done any of it without the support of my family, friends, and partner, Matt. Their belief in me helped me create a successful business that produces high-quality media for so many other businesses in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. I am so passionate about using my business to help other businesses find the success they deserve.Although I talk on the podcast… Like a LOT, I want to give a big, giant thank you to E-Money for asking me some awesome questions about my decision to start my business and how that’s changed my life completely.
