Episode 5: The Future of Pharmacy Canada Edition ft. Mary Adegboyega (Pharmacist and Youtuber @oresupasta1363)

Meet Mary:

Mary is a dual licensed British trained Pharmacist currently based in Ontario, Canada. Mary started her Pharmacy career in 2013 after graduating from the University of Sunderland with a First Class honors Masters degree in Pharmacy. She embarked on her journey into Clinical Pharmacy by working in diverse clinical areas within NHS hospitals in the UK. Alongside her hospital experience, she continued to build on her retail pharmacy skills by taking on weekend relief shifts and making the most out of all the opportunities that came her way. She worked as a Pharmacist in the Social Enterprise field and gained some experience in the Mental Health field before leaving the UK. She relocated to Canada and completed her licensing journey in 2019, where she now works as a Mental Health Pharmacist.

In her own words, Mary, shares that: I am passionate about stepping outside my comfort zone and encouraging others to do the same. I really believe that real growth happens when we challenge ourselves to do the very things that scare us. This is one of the reasons why I started my YouTube channel a few years ago and also why I share many career and health related content on my social media pages - so if you are looking for that extra motivation or nudge to step outside your comfort zone, you might want to start following me on my social media platforms. I offer a mentorship programme for Pharmacists and Pharmacy students who really want to challenge themselves to do better at going after their goals.' 'I am also currently working on a really exciting campaign for Pharmacists across Canada. I see there are huge gaps in the pharmacy systems here and I want to be able to be part of the change that is happening across Canada. I believe this campaign will spark some more great ideas for grater things for Pharmacists in Canada.
