#22 - David Estrada: Welder Made Headbands

On this weeks episode of Blue Collar Angst David sits down with David Estrada, owner of Welder Made Headbands out of Riverside County, California. With over two decades of welding experience under his belt, David's journey is nothing short of inspiring. His Dad served as a cornerstone of motivation, igniting his spark for not only the Blue Collar life but also setting the strong foundation of Faith, Family and Integrity that David still relies on today. To honor his Dad the iconic Eagle that was a tattoo on his Dads shoulder is now the face of his brand and staple signature on every Welder Made Headband out in the field.

David’s dedication has led him to diverse projects, with one standout being his involvement in the iconic Bay Bridge. He shares about his feelings of homesickness from being so far away from home as a young new welder, and how he doubles down and passes the tests and finds himself on the interior of the column welding Monday thru Friday, racing down south turning gears towards home any chance he got. While working at the bottom of these massive columns he vividly recalls the moments when the lights would shut off, and he would be sitting in complete darkness. In those instances, his trusty Casio G-Shock watch with a blue backlight emerged as the only light available as he waited for the power to come back on. After many years of working hard and always thinking of how he could improve whatever he could get his hands on, David Estrada's entrepreneurial spirit gave birth to Welder Made Headbands. A venture that began as a mere concept on paper and transformed into a household name adorning welding hoods and hardhats across many different trades. His journey resonates with aspiring entrepreneurs, illustrating that an idea can snowball into a transformative reality through proper planning, grit, and determination. David share's how he would wake up early before work so he could complete sets of headbands and then grind all day at work, come home and be a family man, and work on his own brand some more once he got home. "Do Something For Yourself." That’s about as Blue Collar Proud as you can get. Estrada's outlook is encapsulated in his commitment to continuous improvement, underlining the importance of innovation and dreaming big.

Through his experiences, Estrada imparts valuable life lessons applicable to individuals of all ages. He emphasizes the significance of setting goals ON PAPER serving as a testament to his own journey from Welder to becoming a recognized name across the Welding World.

In conclusion, David Estrada's story embodies the quintessential American dream from earning the stripes of a seasoned welder, and becoming a pioneering entrepreneur with his very own brand and idea Welder Made Headbands. It truly reflects the power of aspiration, persistence, and innovation. His journey, layered with life lessons along the way, showcases how an individual can leave an indelible mark by fearlessly pursuing their passions and striving for excellence no matter what comes your way. David's story is an inspiration and shows the importance of effort and planning, and most importantly execution when its your time to step up to the plate.
