The Santa Claus Murder- What happens when a good deed turns into an act of violence, kidnapping and murder. This is the incredible story of survivor Amber Daniels. She did not let an evil act go unpunished. On December 4th, 1997, at around four o'clock in the morning, a farmer and his wife were awakened when their dog would not stop barking. They looked out the window and saw three children walking down the road in their nightgowns. They called the police, who arrived within minutes at their Carter Pond House Road. The concern was why there were three young girls in the middle of the night in night gowns without footwear. The girls were dropped off on the side of the road in Bacon County, two counties to the south. The farmer called authorities and they alerted the officers in Toombs County. Amber Daniels was a 10-year-old girl who resided in Santa Claus Georgia with her foster siblings, biological mother, stepfather, brothers, and sisters. When Deputy Mike Harland arrives, the house is dark, and silence surrounds the eerie home. The front door is open. The officer is making his presence known by letting the parents know he is law enforcement expecting someone to still come out. He asks if anyone is home. Silence The scene is heart breaking. The security alarm was set off, a radio alarm clock went off and a baby was crying. Harland is moving deeper into the home when he sees a small figure under the table. The little boy is in a state of shock, panicked. He grabbed Mike's hand signaliging him to his parents' bedroom without saying anything else. Harland sees blood on the frame of the bedroom door. The door is left open enough to peak through. Harland pushes the door open and discovers the body of a young woman on the floor. He notices two dead bodies on the bed under the cover. An older man and an older woman lying under the sheets motionless. What monster came in the middle of the night to cause destruction to the Daniels family?
