The night before Halloween attack on Poltergeist movie star Dominique Dunne shocked and surprised both Hollywood and the nation. Dominique was an up and coming star. At the young age of twenty two years old she had already found success on both television and the big screen. Her star was rising but that would be brought to an abrupt end at the hands of a violent monster who was spiraling out of control. Hands, that unfortunately she knew all too well.

There are many resources available to victims of both stalking and domestic violence. If you feel you are in imminent danger or are in fear - call 911 immediately!

Even when stalking is not related to domestic violence, domestic violence and/or sexual assault service providers are often the right people to contact. The Victim Connect Resource Center is a referral helpline. They are available 9AM to 5PM ET by calling 1- 855-4-VICTIM

And perhaps the best resource is The National Domestic Violence Hotline. They can be reached by texting START to 88788 or by calling 1-800-799-SAFE. But remember if you are in danger - call 911 and please talk to your local law enforcement agency.

Jimmy Townsend  //////  838Part 1 of 1  www.TrueCrimeGarage.comIf there ever was a boy who was a living legend in his neck of the woods, well for West Monroe, Louisiana in the early 1980’s it was Jimmy Townsend.  Jimmy was smart, talented, good looking, and liked by all.  He was known in West Monroe for his athleticism and the ability to carry his youth sports teams to success.  It was thought that Jimmy would most certainly someday take his talents to the Majors.  Jimmy as it seemed was destined for big things.  Jimmy and a group of friends were confronted and attacked by a group of older boys at the annual Ark-La-Miss fair. Jimmy was beaten to death by those boys. The reports vary but it could have been as many as 7 older boys that surrounded and beat Jimmy Townsend to death.  The murder of 13 year old Jimmy Townsend is still unsolved. If you have any information about this crime, please call the Monroe Police Department at 1-318-329-2600.  Beer of the Week - Shotgun Wedding Brown Ale aged with Vanilla Beans by Country Boy BrewingGarage Grade - 3 and 3 quarter bottle caps out of 5  Going to CrimeCon 2025 in Denver? Hate American Made ////// Oklahoma City BombingPart 6 of 6 www.TrueCrimeGarage.comOn the morning of Wednesday, April 19th, 1995 an ex-army soldier turned homegrown terrorist Timothy James McVeigh blew up the Alfred P. Murrah building in downtown Oklahoma City. He had conspired with others to carryout this horrific act against his fellow Americans. April 19th, is also Patriot’s Day. In 1995 it was the sad two year anniversary of the conclusion of the Waco Siege resulting in the deaths of many American citizens. This too, would be that day that the state of Arkansas executed Richard Snell. Snell was convicted of hate crimes, murder, and a man who once conspired to blow up the Alfred P. Murray building.  More True Crime Garage can be found on Patreon and Apple subscriptions with our show - Off The Record.  Catch dozens of episodes of Off The Record plus a couple of Bonus episodes and our first 50 when you sign up today.  True Crime Garage merchandise is available on our website’s store page.  Plus get True Crime Garage Pod art that you can post on your socials on our Media page.  Follow the show on X and Insta @TrueCrimeGarage / Follow Nic on X @TCGNIC / Follow The Captain on X @TCGCaptain  Thanks for listening and thanks for telling a friend.  Be good, be kind, and don’t litter!  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
