Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck
=======================
I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning Taro, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. About Carrie and @QuickLearnQuests
===============================
I have been reading Tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet.

Here is my YouTube Channel video for interpreting cards in Three Card Spreads: https://youtu.be/P8En-8-8njk?si=7LIlOsFv9pNZ9iK7 Here is the transcript:

Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Eight of Swords, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed.

The Eight of Swords upright represents feeling trapped, restricted, or powerless. It often means we feel this way through our own fears or limiting beliefs. This is the mental prison we create sometimes, where we can't see a way out. Often the barriers are self-created in our minds through our view on something. However, when the Eight of Swords appears reversed, this energy shifts toward freedom and empowerment. It's about breaking out of these mental constraints and realizing we can change our perspective. The reversed Eight of Swords encourages us to let go of fear and self-doubt, allowing ourselves to step into a place of greater clarity and courage.

So what does that mean when we see the Eight of Swords reversed in a reading? When the Eight of Swords reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign that you're moving beyond self-imposed limitations. This card suggests that now is the time to trust your strength and make choices that align with your true desires. It may also indicate that you're recognizing your freedom to choose. The reversed Eight of Swords reminds you that while fears may arise, you're no longer bound by them. It's an invitation to step confidently into situations in which you once felt constrained.

So, what is the best way to memorize the Eight of Swords in reverse? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Eight of Swords moment was when I deciding whether to be an employee or a contractor. A series of events led me to the decision, so I was somewhat divinely guided. However, when my employment situation ended, and I was looking for new work, I decided to chase contracts instead of employment opportunities. I was in the upright Eight of Swords when I was waffling how to actually do it since there weren't as many avenues to find work in the nineties. Once I knew how to get on rosters at the technical schools, I was very busy and turning away work. I was on my way with the mental constraints lifted.

That's all for today's episode on the Eight of Swords reversed. Remember, to memorize tarot, keep practicing tarot.
