Rising Tides

The summer is ending, but there’s one last activity before everyone heads off for the fall. This one requires shovels and buckets, no fancy dresses nor jewels needed.

After all the glitz and glamour, it’s time to get a little dirty.

Over a hot Labor Day weekend, the preferred activity is crabbing. Amongst the waves and rocks, Louise Van Alen worries about her secret romance with Prince Alexis Mdivani, and her concerns are valid when looking at older couple Grace Wilson Vanderbilt and her husband Neily Vanderbilt. Doris Duke with Jimmy Cromwell and Barbara Hutton with Frank Shields have various success with their buckets, hinting at their own situations.
