Stanford BioE 60: Beyond Bitcoin - Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs)

A decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is a group organized around a mission that coordinates through a shared set of rules enforced on a blockchain. DAOs are currently a critical part of major DeFi protocols, but are on their way to becoming the tech stack for a truly democratic world.

In this lecture presented at Stanford's BioE60 Beyond Bitcoin course, Ron Boger (https://twitter.com/ronboger) and Ori Shimony (https://twitter.com/orishim) of dOrg present an overview on DAOs. The lecture covers what DAOs are, the history, current use, and potential future applications.
