Melanie is a mother and social impact connector with a decade of experience leveraging technology and cross-sector collaboration to address inequities. Her experiences range from leading the Canadian youth delegation for the G7 summit in France to being an Executive Director of an international children's foundation focused on education.

Today, Melanie leads social impact at Hoot Reading, an innovative social enterprise providing 1:1 reading lessons through their proprietary reading app. As the Director of Marketing and Social Impact and Executive Director of Hoot For All, she aims to improve equitable access to teachers and evidence-based reading programs for thousands of children across North America.

Outside of work, Melanie is a Board Director, avid volunteer, recent MBA and global fellow at the International Womens Forum. Most importantly, Melanie is a partner and mother to two young children who inspire her and motivate her each day.
