WELCOME TO CELTIC MUSIC

* Helping you celebrate Celtic culture through music. My name is Marc Gunn. I am a Celtic musician and podcaster. This show is dedicated to the indie Celtic musicians. Please support these artists. Share the show with your friends. And find more episodes at celticmusicpodcast.com. You can also support this podcast on Patreon.

ATTN Celtic Musicians. I'm looking for some good stories to share. You see, I also host the Pub Songs Podcast. I started sharing stories from musicians about their songs. I'd like to do more of those. So if you have a story that you'd like to share about a song, from a gig, or maybe even just a piece of Celtic history that you love. Drop me an email. Put "Pub Story" in the show subject. Tell me about your story. Maybe I'll ask you to record your story for the show.

THANK YOU PATRONS OF THE PODCAST!

Because of Your kind and generous support, this show comes out every week. Your generosity funds the creation, promotion and production of the show. It allows us to attract new listeners and to help our community grow.

As a patron, you get to hear episodes before regular listeners. When we hit a milestone, you get an extra-long episode. You can pledge a dollar or more per episode and cap how much you want to spend each month over on Patreon.

TRAVEL WITH CELTIC INVASION VACATIONS
Every year, I take a small group of Celtic music fans on the relaxing adventure of a lifetime. We don't see everything. Instead, we stay in one area. We get to know the region through its culture, history, and legends. You can join us with an auditory and visual adventure through podcasts and videos. woodland folk emailed: "Being spooked by various attempts to "move on" caravans is part of life....Ur music is a freind to me, more than i think u realize, the last year was like sailing in a storm... Thank u"

and also: "Was wondering if any of ur artists would consider publishing any short reels, jigs or solo pieces( own versions )as music scores(abc other) how they may write a score in ur show notes or such, just extracts... Ok if not my friend, just putting it oit there #,-)"

Juliette Ling emailed: "Hi Mark! I've written before, but I wanted to send another email to thank you again for all of your work with this podcast - it has been a significant source of comfort for my family and me over the last year.

In addition to the common challenges of the pandemic, my husband and I welcomed a baby boy into our home in December of 2019, and so we've been quarantined in our home for over 15 months now. The music in your podcast, along with your humor, insights, and positive energy have been such a bright light for us. Suffice it to say, there are many days when we are encouraged by your art - we've even begun a tradition of listening to your Don't Go Drinking with Hobbits album during the mornings of our annual Eat Like a Hobbit/Lord of the Rings marathon day!

And finally, some of your recent episodes have introduced us to the phenomenal work of Brad Tuck; his songs have become some of my son's favorites and are now often playing on repeat. I cannot thank you enough for giving us an opportunity to take a break from The Wheels on the Bus and Baby Shark!

Thank you again for all that you do! I've been a long time listener and look forward to enjoying your work for years to come! Warmly,"
