Michael Healy-Rae : Carpe Diem
My guest this week is politician and Kerryman, Michael Healy-Rae.We sat down to have a chat many months ago now but I think his philosophy on life is certainly something we could do with a generous injection of, particularly at the moment. He’s married to Eileen and they have five children and in this conversation we talk about many things; his recovery from an accident in his twenties, his parents, why he doesn’t sleep too much and how happiness can be cultivated.I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian : A New Chapter awaits
Brian and Arthur are my wonderful guests this week.Brian has already had a hugely successful career in television over the past two decades. He went from being a flight attendant to winning Big Brother, the biggest reality TV show of the time, in 2001. And since then he’s presented a whole host of high profile TV shows mainly in the UK but also here in Ireland. His husband Arthur, a proud Armenian; is a world class choreographer and creative director, who has worked artists like…Beyonce, Girls Aloud, Kylie, The Pussycat dolls…to name but a few! They’ve both felt the deep pain of losing a parent. Arthur’s Dad died when he was 16 and Brian’s Mum passed away suddenly, only 2 years ago.We sat down to have a chat in January, a few shows into the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars on RTE and in this conversation, Brian gives us a beautiful insight into his Mum Rosie; they talk about the importance of setting boundaries and finding balance, their relationship and also their plans to have a family. They have such a beautiful perspective on life and I think it's obvious when you hear this that I’m mad about them both. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
