Don O’Neill : Keeping the Faith

Irish designer and proud Kerryman Don O’Neill is my guest this week.Don and his husband Pascal have been living in New York for 26 years and I am fortunate to call them my friends.As a designer, Don has dressed some of the most powerful women in the world; Oprah Winfrey, Khloe Kardashian and Meghan Markle to name but a few, with many Irish women also falling in love with his designs.My sister Gráinne and I have been lucky enough to wear many of his gúnas down through the years, with Don also designing her wedding dress last year.When we spoke earlier this week, I really wanted to talk to him about the mood in America especially after the recent events in the US election.We also speak about the pandemic, the past few years under Trump’s administration, his glittering fashion career, dressing Oprah, his relationship with Pascal and how life has radically changed for them both, in 2020.Don is a deeply spiritual man and this conversation proves that while life is full of ups and downs, the impact you have on others is more important than anything else in life.See my Instagram page for photos that relate to our chat.If you enjoy this podcast, please share it with friends and family and you can also support what I do, by clicking follow, giving a rating and leaving a little comment, thanks a million.
