011 - Dying with Dignity - Charlie Guard and Medical Ethics pt 1

This is the first episode of the Charlie Guard series.

Charlie Guard is the infant, in England, who is being prevented -- by the British government -- from being either taken to America for experimental treatment, OR EVEN being taken home by his parents to die there, with them, in a hospice-like setting.

Instead, the government has ruled that he must die, and must do so in the hospital.

How did we get to a place where the government tells you whether your children can live or die and what treatment you may pursue for their health?

As always, it is the PHILOSOPHY of the society in question which explains this. Please listen. It's a matter of life and death.
