Discounting positives is similar to mental filtering. It means we are just letting some things through and I don’t mean the positives. You are totally spot on if you think that this can be really detrimental for anyone suffering from anxiety. It can lead to more anxiety, depression, and actually feeling unable to even give something a try at all. Discounting the positive is a habitual way of disregarding our successes and strengths while focusing instead on what we consider to be our weaknesses and our failures. Let me give you 5 tips that have helped me and also my client Maryanne and her daughter Lauren tremendously. Watch the video on my youtube channel and if this is you, or your child and you want some help, let me know. Have a beautiful Sunday. Susanne I would love to hear from you. Have a great week.
