Episode 22 - Family Literacy

Welcome to the 4th episode of season 4 of the Literacy Quebec Podcast!

In this week’s episode we talk with Quebec City Reading Council about celebrating Family Literacy Day / Week, plus QCRC shares with us their launch of an exciting new literacy program called Learning Without Limits... you need to listen to find out how much of a positive impact this program will make to literacy learners around the Quebec region!

We celebrate Family Literacy Day by discussing ABC Life Literacy's definition of Family Literacy, some engaging stats about family literacy across Canada, taking 20 in 2020 (put aside 20 minutes a day to do a fun learning activity together) and some ideas of the activities you can do!
ie: Story Switch-A-Roo 1. Take turns reading a bedtime story together! Kids and adults take turns reading a sentence!

South Shore Reading Council Starting again their 10-week family reading program for children ages 0-3 The Parent-Child Mother Goose Program is a weekly one-hour gathering of parents and toddlers to share the joys of language through nursery rhymes, songs, stories and games.
